Fees & plan

No surprises at the desk.

Every fee here is a starting figure, and every fee you are actually charged is confirmed in writing before treatment begins. If a plan changes mid-course (and occasionally it has to) you get the revised figure before we carry on, not after.

Paying for larger work.

Three routes, and we will tell you which is cheapest for your circumstances rather than which is most convenient for us.

Interest-free over 12 months
On any plan above £1,000. No deposit required and no interest, provided the twelve payments are met.
Extended over 24–60 months
Available on larger plans through a regulated third-party lender, at a representative rate quoted in writing before you sign.

Straight answers

The questions we get asked about money.

Are you an NHS practice?

No. Smile Harbour is entirely private. We are honest about that on the telephone before you book, because it is the single most common reason someone would rather go elsewhere.

Why is the examination £75?

Because it is ninety minutes with photographs, scans, radiographs where needed and a written plan afterwards. A twenty-minute check-up costs less everywhere, including here, it just is not what this appointment is.

Will the price change once you start?

Only if the clinical picture changes, and then you get the revised figure before we continue. In the great majority of cases the written plan is the final invoice.

Do you charge for a failed appointment?

A missed appointment without 24 hours' notice is charged at £40, and a missed hour of surgery time at the full fee. We waive it the first time, always.

Is the plan worth it for me?

If you have two examinations and two hygiene visits a year you are roughly even, and ahead the moment you need anything else. If you attend less often than that, pay as you go and we will say so.

Start with the examination.

£75, ninety minutes, and a written plan the same day. You are under no obligation to book any of it.
